Google Video Date

 Our time is precious and few and far between.A little aside because I do miss blogging and it's the only ME time I love to give myself.
 I was just thinking about this --> post(click HERE)  the other day and again just a few minutes ago. It makes me feel so thankful how lucky I am. Despite the craziness of school/life/family, I am just so happy that I have that special someone whose always got my back mentally, emotionally, and physically
yay for free back rubs, an open ear and heart.... and for LOVE. 

Mister serenading me before bed. If only I could record his big head bobbling off tune, that would have been a lovely moment to capture.

FaceTime Date

Just another post about how we communicate on a daily basis. 

It's crazy how you can spend loads of time with someone and yet still find something new about them. For instance after so much time together, I did not know your face could contort this way......

I love how comfortable we are together and that your not afraid to be goofy with me.

Doesn't it look like he's in deep thought? Especially with his forehead all wrinkly....
He must be watching a documentary of some sort????

Nope! He was watching cartoons.... specifically...

Dear Kitty and James: Thank you for driving me this past week and taking me around for grocery shopping. YAY for fresh fruits.

Dear Becky: After a long week of classes, it was nice to find a package on my doorstep. You know me so well, I am definitely the "Bargain Bride".

Dear fiancé <= still not use to calling you that yet : I know I get frazzled/anxious/flustered when making decisions but thank you for being patient and helping me through it. At least we bought our FIRST Purchase for the future wedding. BIG DEAL right here!

The Proposal

I was totally clueless.

I had no idea it was coming.. 

NO IDEA!  

Starting from the beginning....


After the girls and I settled in Hawaii we explored the streets; strolling down the beach, enjoying the views, and the gazillion ABC stores around every corner. We made plans to eat dinner at a nice restaurant called Sarento's at the Top of the Waikiki that Maria found through a Groupon Deal.

So we went back to the hotel to pretty ourselves up for dinner.
I got out of the shower and noticed Maria and Becky wearing red dresses. Maria replied back to me that the other dress didn't fit her and so she had to wear this red one.

When we got to Top of Waikiki, we couldn't find Sarento's.

I got out my phone to check on Yelp and it said Sarento's was located at Top of the I.

Marley: That's strange, it says Top of the I, not Waikiki.

Maria: Uh Oh. I made a mistake. Its at the Top of the I.

We were at the wrong restaurant and 15 minutes late to our reservation. 

FAIL!

Once we got to the RIGHT building, the RIGHT restaurant (30th floor), we were led into a private room that overlooks the whole city. The table had a nice setting of blooming red roses & white orchids and creme brulee scented white candles.

After we were seated, there was a huge projector facing us. The waiter told us it was part of the GroupOn Deal.

Once the video started, I wasn't really paying attention until I heard a familiar song Christina Perri A Thousand Years (which I blogged about before HERE) and then I saw my face appear on the screen.

I had a million thoughts running through my head but the loudest one was: 

WHY IS MY FACE ON THE SCREEN?!?!?!

Then I heard Phong's voice and saw him in the video. It was hard for me to process everything that was going on but he starts talking about us. 

After the video ended, the door to our private room opens.

His friends walk in. 

A few minutes later he walked in, 

and 

the story of us just goes from there.

The whole time I was in shock and just didn't know how to react. 

I was basically a smiling fool. 

My knees were shaking,

I forgot to breathe, 

it was like an out of body experience. 

I didn't know what was going on around me.

I feel very blessed with the close family and friends we share.

The End of Singledom

I have not blogged in a while but I just came back to Mainland AKA REALITY and then had some family engagements to go to.

Adventures of my Spring Break 2012 in Hawai'i :

 Mon Day 1: Strolling the beach. Dinner at Sarento's Top of the Ilikai
Tue Day 2: Polynesian Cultural Center Luau and Night out on the town.
Wed Day 3: Leonard's Bakery Malasada puffs. Omakase @ Sushi Sasabune

This is from the Omakase. It was melt in your mouth amazing.

If you EVER go to Hawaii and you  are HEAD over HEELS in love with Sushi -> GO to Sushi Sasabune!

CON: it's so good that anything after that does not compare so my sushi cravings have disappeared.

Thu Day 4: Pearl Harbor Memorial. Interstate trip to the Big Island. Check in to Hilton Resort. Dinner @ Monstera
Fri Day 5: Couples Massage @Kohala Spa. Road trip to the Rain Forest 'Akaka Falls and Rainbow Fall'. Dinner by the beach @ Pahu i'a

Aloha!

Finally!!!! I can breathe a bit, for this week at least.

It's nice to be back BUT after spending less than 5 hours at my parent's house, I realize why I moved out. I just turn into a crazy monster when i'm here.

Thank goodness it's only until Monday

...

I can survive until then

....

I HOPE.

My ride back home was delayed only 20 minutes, a BIG improvement from last time ( click HERE for my version and HERE for his). Got to spend some good ole' quality time with the Mister before he left for his work trip. I don't think I gave him a proper goodbye because I am NOT a functional human being before noon and so waved bye and passed out.

When we started dating we made a pact that every spring break we would take a trip together.

Last year was: California and Las Vegas 2011

ahhhh...memories. It was our "first" trip away together and there was ALOT of eating at In-N-Out. I love the hand cut fries and animal style execution.

Here's another because I love FRIES SO MUCH!

Sadly we won't have a vacation together this spring break because the Mister has work obligations but I ain't complaining cuz that is what pays the bills. RESPECT!

For breaking the pact, Mister concocted a plan with my best friend and surprised me with a Girls TRIP TO HAWAII!

I have never been and 

I am 

SUPER UBER DUPER EXCITED!!

When do you ever get a chance to just take a trip together with just the girls and find the time when everyone is free? It's a rarity I tell ya.

I can't wait until us girls reach the warm weather, lay on the beach, and sip on drinks with fruit sticking from it. EAST COAST weather can eat myyyy dust!

Skype Dates

Being away is hard. So my friends encourage me to start using video chat with the Mister. I was a bit skeptical at first because it is such a tease to see and hear that person but your still not with them. We did succumb to FaceTime and Skype and Google video chat, we even started Skype dates where we watch movies "together" but at our own prospective states.

THANK GOODNESS for technology so that I can see your adorable smiling face. 

I love your smile! It  reminds me of a 3rd grader....super adorable!

and I love that I can make you smile

The best part of video chatting is when I am a total creeper and I take pictures like ... 

no boobies allowed ( keeping it PG13!)

I know this is kinda corny but I miss seeing you, being with you, and squeezing you to death! We use to see each other every 2-3 weeks. Anytime longer than THAT I get antsy. After graduation (if I ever graduate) you are never leaving my sight!

I'm glad that you never screen what I blog because I doubt you would have EVER allowed this one!
