Live, Laugh, Love

One of my favorites quotes are Live, Laugh, Love and his favorite color is red so we both went wild when we found this frame.
We bought it during the after Christmas sales and it was left blank for a while because we didn't have any pictures to put in. I don't know if this is weird but I actually didn't mind that it was left empty. The people inside the frame look super happy and perfect and made me smile whenever I saw it on his top of his cabinet.

But then I got a wonderful surprise in my text message this morning....

and this made me smile a little brighter.
One of our favorite photos.
Thank you to my Mr.

Little moments

These are the little moments that reminds me of home.

Turning up the heat when I am home and turning it down when I leave.

90* Degree angle

Can you tell the difference? I can't but I know the Mr can.
I love you

A few of our favorite things: Songs

These are the songs that are stuck in our heads and playing on repeat.

Christina Perri- A Thousand Years

I am in love with this song, especially the chrous. It's so beautiful and she sings it so well. This song reminds me how deeply a person can love another. I would wait a 1,000 years for you but thank goodness I won't have to :)
I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don’t be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more

Ingrid Michaelson- The Way I Am
Not only is this song super funny but the video attached makes it extra cute. Love is all about loving everything, the little imperfections that make them perfect for you.

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair.

Sew on patches to all you tear.

Sia-My Love
This is the Mr's favorite song. It may sound familiar because it's from the Twilight soundtrack. This song may sound dark at first but once you take that away and hear the lyrics, I interpreted it as two hearts beating as one.

Do you have any favorites? Please share! We are in the love song mindset. LOL

All About Us

YIKES! :(
This last week just went by so fast that I didn't realize it until it was too late. I was so busy with the dinners and get-togethers that I forgot to plan a date with the one who matters most to me. I remember the feelings of loneliness and despair, the stress and pining away for you when I was away at school. I love you with everything that I have and I'm sorry for not conveying that to you.

We got into the habit of going home, eating dinner, and then watching brainless television all night long until we went to bed.
So we changed it up. We shut off the television, I bought the dinner, and afterwards we started working on this book "All About Us"

We started this on May 8 2011 and have only gotten up to half way through. I would recommend it to ANY couple! It's a fun way to get to know each other because it gives random questions we would never have thought of and makes us think about ourselves and how we are together. We have gotten into some playful fighting about some of the answers but it opens that up for conversation.

Memories from over the weekend :)
1) Cleaning up Christmas.
Throughout this whole vacation it was marked by that tree and now it's gone and I will be too.

2) Sushi Class Making Temaki and Nigiri
-I FINALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE SUSHI RICE!!!!!
-We are sushi pros now. We can roll with the best of them. (ROLL... GET IT?!?!  :] )
-And sometimes our eyes are bigger than our stomachs (picture 2).

Stuffed with fish!
Can't wait to make some more memories this weekend.
XOXO

Guest Post from the Me

So it's been a few days over a year since we've been with each other, and Marley has managed to create this wonderful blog to track our time. I figured I could take a few minutes to contribute a line or two.

Everything that has come to be has happened by chance. It was a long shot, but it materialized, and I am very grateful that it did, because something very special has come out of it. There were skeptics in the beginning, but we just drowned out the noise and focused on each other.

Now that a year has passed, I am sure we have silenced the critics, but more importantly, the ground that we stood on together has solidified and strengthened. She has made me a better person. My lifestyle has changed to a more responsible one to ensure our future can be secured. There is a lot more looking before leaping these days, which has made me more level headed and balanced. Even career wise, I have made moves this year to better OUR situation, and it has all paid off. I am happy with my work and social life, and most importantly, my at home life.

It's been a great year, but now that 2012 is underway, I have a feeling this one will top it. I know I will do whatever it takes to ensure that I will never grow complacent, never stop trying, and never take anything for granted. This WILL work, because I KNOW Marley is it. She is my best friend, and everything that I ever needed and wanted. She's been just enchanting. Cheers to 2012.

HAPPY 2012!!!!!!!!

Better late than never!! I hope everyone had a fun new years and got to spend some time with close friends and family :)

I am a few days late in posting because it took a whole day to recover and another day to clean up the craziness in our home. Now that everyone is back at work and I am in bed with nothing to do, figured I would update.

We hosted NYE for our friends and we try to be excellent hosts by decorating the house and providing confetti poppers, champagne, and most importantly sustenance..we try to go wild with that.

We made it to our one year anniversary and lets hope the world does NOT end so we can have many more!!!
Because the boyfriend is always watching Nat Geo Wild and Animal Planet I surprised him with tickets to the New England Zoo. We didn't see lions and tigers but we saw 2 bears, a jaguar, and a snow leopard.
This is a Emperor tamarin which is a primate but I thought he looked like Mr.Miyagi.

For dinner we celebrated by eating out at the snazzy Ruth Chris for raw oysters ( YUM!), seafood, and steak.

and ended our night with Truffle Hot Coco (thanks Winnie) and 2 British themed movies 'The Kings Speech' and 'Your Royal Highness'. Guess which movie was better and guess who picked which (SMH).

.... and for dinner tonight?
A very humble hot pot. TRANSLATION: No meat. lol

XOXO
